چکیده

Abstract This paper introduces a pressure sensor catheter with two different measurement principles. A Fabry-Perot- Interferometer at the fiber tip is formed by reflective multilayer membrane of chip. The cavity provides absolute sensing. 20 millimeter before Fiber Bragg Grating integrated for additional temperature sensing components are completely coated silicone mantle 2 mm diameter. signal evaluation both done interrogation device. First, mechanical structure aspects manufactured fiber-optic hybrid as well principle described. Then, experimental results, including quantification and separation sensitivity presented. Out these characteristics possibility compensation application confirmed.

Diaphragm Based Fiber Bragg Grating Acceleration Sensor with Temperature Compensation

A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensing-based acceleration sensor has been proposed to simultaneously decouple and measure temperature and acceleration in real-time. This design applied a diaphragm structure and utilized the axial property of a tightly suspended optical fiber, enabling improvement in its sensitivity and resonant frequency and achieve a low cross-sensitivity. The theoretical v...

Refractometer based on fiber Bragg grating Fabry-Pérot cavity embedded with a narrow microchannel.

We report on inscription of microchannels of different widths in optical fiber using femtosecond (fs) laser inscription assisted chemical etching and the narrowest channel has been created with a width down to only 1.2μm. Microchannels with 5μm and 35μm widths were fabricated together with Fabry-Pérot (FP) cavities formed by UV laser written fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs), creating high function a...

Fiber-Optic Pressure Sensor Based on π-Phase- Shifted Fiber Bragg Grating on Side-Hole Fiber

We present a fiber-optic pressure sensor based on a π-phase-shifted fiber Bragg grating (πFBG) fabricated on a sidehole fiber. Due to the resonance effect of a πFBG, its reflection spectrum features two notches that are dramatically narrower than the linewidth of a regular FBG of similar length. The narrow spectral notches allow high-resolution measurement of their spectral separation, signific...

Multiplexed fiber Bragg grating strain-sensor system with a fiber Fabry - Perot wavelength filter.

There has been considerable interest recently in the development of fiber-optic sensors based on in-fiber Bragg gratings (FBG's), which can be written into Ge-doped fibers by use of a transverse holographic method.' The use of such elements for distributed strain or temperature sensing in advanced composite or other structural elements and their use as inline reflectors in interferometric syste...
